Baby due 4th sept. Should I be dressing baby in long sleeved things only in September? Is buying something like the below pointless as baby will be cold and then too big for it by the time it gets warmer again? Or do you just put trousers/long sleeved t-shirts underneath? (I know to get mostly practical babygrow packs but I’d like to buy a couple of exciting things too!)

My baby was born mid September last year, a very mild autumn. They wore mostly short sleeved vests and sleepsuits as a newborn. Many cute outfits were bought but most went to waste as you just want to get them changed as quickly as possible when they're tiny. Mine hated being changed at first! Started wearing outfits more once they got to a couple of months old.
Your baby will still look cute in those outfits the following summer 😁

I would recommend to buy some short sleeve bodysuits and sleepsuits, and wait until baby is here to buy anything else. Sleepsuits are the best for the first couple of weeks anyway, and you can see then what's best based on the weather and also the size of your baby!

It's going to depend on the weather! Who knows?

Wait until the baby is here and see what you think then. You'll also likely get gifts of clothes etc. so best to wait and see.
