Hay fever remedies

Hi

Does anyone have any magic tips to relieve hay fever symptoms in an almost 3 year old?

Iv tried every over the counter antihistamine with either loratadine or cetirizine and it doesn’t really do much. It helps reduce the sneezing but her eyes are constantly red and sore and her nose is so stuffy and really annoying her.

Myself and my husband get it quite bad too and I know how miserable it is and I honestly feel so bad that I can’t do anything for her. We’ve tried nasal sprays too. The only thing helping her eyes is wrapping up an ice pack in a cloth and placing it on but obviously that’s not ideal when we are out and about.

Has anyone’s wee one been prescribed anything stronger from the doctor? Im
not even sure if that’s an option or if anyone has any hints and tips they would be greatly appreciated!

Hi 😊
I am going through the same thing with my 3 year old. It's so hard to manage and heartbreaking to see them so uncomfortable.
I have tried almost every possible over the counter antihistamine and none of them 100% get rid of symptoms.
I'm currently looking into natural remedies but it seems they are all for older kids.
There seems to be no decent information/advice/help online for small children which is so strange.
My GP has been really unhelpful, we went to allergy clinic last year but tests came back negative, which is so bloody frustrating because he clearly has seasonal allergies.
They won't refer us for further testing so I have to pay and go private to get him retested.
Not sure about you, but we haven't slept a decent night's sleep in 6 weeks. His symptoms are bad in the day but are worse at night. I keep all windows shut, have an air purifier, change sheets every couple of days, shower every day, dry clothes indoors etc but still terrible red itchy eys, blocked nose, sneezing, itchy roof of mouth. I'm so exhausted with trying to keep on top of it all.
It's so frustrating when you try everything but nothing is working.
I cant find any decent advice so will be following your thread in anticipation for magical tips!!!

Cut milk and dairy and see if it helps
