How to keep baby cool in pram?

First time mum here so sorry if this is a stupid question but what is the best way to keep baby cool in the pram? We are using a bassinet just about to move to the stroller attachment - do you keep the footmuff bit on to protect their legs from the sun? Or will this make the baby too hot? Or do you take it off and try to angle the parasol? I've looked at snooze shades but they look like they will make everything really hot too? Thanks so much for any advice.

Definitely not the footmuff! Parasols are good in theory but a bit annoying as they need adjusting a lot unless you only walk in a straight line. Snooze shades are breathable and are great if baby will tolerate it, mine hated it though! Otherwise I’d do your best with the hood, dress them so they’re covered but in cool loose fabrics and put some baby suncream on their feet.

You can buy fans that attach to the pram.

I had my baby in the pram ( carrycot) in a vest socks and nappy . The sunshade was over the pram, I also had the hood of the pram up and parked it in the shade. I draped a white cotton sheet over the pram . It worked a treat.

Definitely not the footmuff, they are for very cold temps in winter!

Snoozeshade is great as they are breathable. Just be careful that with whatever you use you don't trap heat in. Even a muslin draped over can trap heat and create a hot house effect.

We had big pegs or clips to attach Muslin clothes to the pram or buggy but always allowing space to let air in.

So for instance if you have a bumped bar I would clip muslins there to protect legs

Not a footmuff. Snooze shade is brilliant and doesn't make them overheat but things like blankets and muslins over the pram do.

You could also get a pram fan

Hood up and I pegged a massive muslin onto the hood.

Definitley no footmuff.

Parasols were imo a complete waste of time.
