Colic or something else?

I have 5 week old (6 weeks in 3 days time) who as of last week has been crying SO much.

On the verge of colic but it’s only just started?

He cries like he’s in pain but once he’s been fed and is asleep makes me realise it can’t be pain or he wouldn’t feed or sleep? Sleeps great at night.

Cries a lot in the evenings but also in the day. I think he gets reflux but crying doesn’t start straight after the bottle so I don’t know whether that’s what’s bothering him?

Stopped using infacol after a week as was making him spit up more. He drinks a lot, 5oz bottles usually, size 2 teat, MAM bottles, Kendamil Organic formula, burp regularly, goes mostly 3 hourly, sometimes 2 hours, rarely 4 in the day but does 5-6 over night.

I have wonder weeks app which says he’s just come out of a leap so shouldn’t be in the fussy phase of that. Not sure if growth spurt?

Just now he was crying inconsolably for about 45 mins, getting really sweaty, then a more moany tired out cry, changed him, fed him (only took half his bottle but it’s only been 2.5 hours since last fed) and now he’s zonked.

I really can’t work out why he’s suddenly just unhappy! Temp is fine with thermometer although he’s warm and a bit sweaty from the weather. Wet and dirty nappies as normal.

Any ideas?

What have you tried so far when he is crying? Is he better in your arms, in a sling, bouncy chair, being moved around?
