Conjunctivitis or something else?

Hello

My 8 month old DS had very gunky eye yesterday and later in the day began to scream in pain whilst eating dinner and had only 300ml of formula all day.

After a 12 hour sleep it was evident he had only done one small wee in those 12 hours. After initially cleaning his eye and him crying in pain the eye has cleared up. He has however not wanted any food at all today instead crying out in pain. He also gets excited when he sees his bottle but after a few sips he cry’s. Does manage small amounts of water though.

He has no temp but very clingy.

Any ideas?!

@Hollypup31 I wouldn't think the gunky eye has much to do with him being in pain or not drinking enough. In this warm weather I'd be worried about dehydration more than the eye to be honest. I think one wee in 12 hours is what the NHS class as a sign of dehydration?
I'd be cautiously seeking medical advice at this point. Maybe ring GP?

If he's not weeing, you need to speak to the GP. I don't think the eye would be connected but he could be dehydrated if not eating/drinking much.
