Can babies cluster feed on bottles?

Sorry if this is a silly question. 6 week old baby who usually has a 3-4 hourly routine of 6oz. Yesterday and today he has been constantly feeding bits here and there, I think he’s used about 8 bottles today already. Isn’t finishing any feeds but having a oz then wanting more not long after.

Does this sound like cluster feeding? I have heard of the term but assumed it was a breast feeding thing

Mine were all bottle fed and went through periods of drinking more milk.

I think so, yes. It obviously doesn’t have the same function as it does with breast feeding but it makes sense for the baby to do it anyway!

When mine did that it was a sign of needing to go up a bottle teat size. Also youngest always wanted to suck so he had a dummy.
