Baby rash

My six week old has a really dry rash on their face that flares up randomly. I thought of prickly heat.. baby acne but why would it go from rather dry looking (in pic) to fluid filled spots all over their face and neck.

Is it eczema or an allergy? We're currently battling reflux as well. Anyone have similar or ideas as his face is really sore and dry.

Ok so if you think it might be a rash and baby also has reflux, do they have any other symptoms of Cow's Milk Protein Allergy?

I honestly wouldn't know I've not had a child with it before. He is on Kendalmil formula which has full cream milk in it.

He is sick even through the gaviscon, feels like it doesn't fill him too as he's very hungry and gassy. When he wasn't on gaviscon he was having quite loose stools bit now he's constipated.

Thank you, I think the problem I may have is the gaviscon masking symptoms if he does have cmpa.

Will keep an eye on it, as unfortunately my GP is crap when it comes to kids.

My baby has cmpa. She started with a rash on her face and chest, it did look like your pics. She had awful reflux from the start, kendamil made her literally explode and the poo was almost pure mucus !! She was always crying in pain wriggling around and screamed when opening her bowels. She is now dairy free on prescription formula, still has eczema but is so much better !! It's worth considering if your baby has it

Ah I'm sorry, I hope she's doing better now?

Oh really, we tried the comfort version and he was having watery stools, throwing up and screaming so we went back to normal but he was throwing it up like crazy so the GP gave me gaviscon.

He's not happy at all, he's constantly crying and screaming unless he is lying on me on his belly but then he's vomiting. I can't win right now lol so I just carry him everywhere with me or let him sleep on me.

Aw sounds awful for your little one ! My baby also wouldn't be put down because of the reflux.

The gp said with the reflux, the rash and the mucus poos it was enough to diagnose cmpa ! Take him to the doctors 👍🏻
