Scarlet Fever rash

Could this be a scarlet fever rash? DS has had an awful throat with a rash, had amoxicillin last week and everything cleared up. Three days after amoxicillin finished this rash is back and anbsolutely everywhere ! His throat is ok though. The nurse practitioner I saw said it couldn’t be scarlet fever because his throat is now ok. Said he’s probably just coming down with something. It’s spreading as I watch it and quite worrying. It is blanching though, thank goodness! Thanks x

Does it feel like sandpaper? Does he have strawberry tongue?

Dd has scarlet fever recently, as pp said, the rash was really tough to touch, with little raised bumps.

The rash feels rough to touch with Scarlet Fever. It’s very different to a viral
raah but my GP failed to pick it up and said it was a viral rash. Don’t rely on the nurse if you think it is Scarlet Fever. Get a second opinion.

Yes, he had a strawberry tongue. Red around the outside and white in the middle. Feels slightly rough. It’s all over him this morning. But particularly stomach , chest, backs of thighs and calves. But all over his face arms hands and feet too.
