Baby wearing ergobaby aura in summer

Lots of threads on this but somehow I am ending up more confused than when I started.

I have an ergobaby aura wrap which DD and I both love, however now it’s hot I feel very hesitant about putting her in it. She always falls straight to sleep and I’ve never felt she was sweaty but she is 7/8 weeks and I’m not sure she actually can sweat herself at that age?

Essentially I’m wondering if can still use this wrap through the British summer or if I need to buy something else (baby purchases seem endless at the moment but I expect any wrap can be found second hand) or if I keep using this one what should I dress her in inside. I always cover her head with the wrap to make sure no part of her is exposed to the sun. It might be worth saying that she is also really quite little, at not yet 9lbs.

Is it just a stretchy wrap sling? Absolutely fine to use in summer. Dress baby appropriately for the fact they're getting your body heat too (so in vest or just nappy in very hot weather). If you're BF it's actually beneficial to baby wear - with you in a vest top or similar so baby can be in contact with your chest skin. When you BF you chest will cool (it'll feel cool to the touch, try it) if your baby is hot.

I don't know the official advice but I had mine in full thick stretchy wraps I just only put them in a small light vest- single layer as someone told me the wrap counts as two. Then I would keep an eye and make sure they weren't going too pink and flap the wrap around a bit to circulate air if I was feeling particularly warm😅 we went out for hour or two at a time on dog walks in the fresh air throughout a heatwave and they were fine.
