How to fit nap in during nursery settling in day?

My 11 month old currently naps at 10am ish and 2.30pm ish but he’s got a settling in session soon between 9.30-11.30am so I have no idea what to do about his nap. He’s not seemed ready for 1 nap yet and I can’t see them getting him to sleep there as that would defeat the point of a settling in session? I’m worried he’s going to be a miserable mess and not be able to “settle in” happily. The nursery aren’t flexible on the settling session timings. Anyone got an idea on how to approach? His current wake windows are 3/3.5/4. Thanks

He’ll be distracted when he is there. And should fall nicely to sleep when you’re home. Then for the rest of the day just play it by ear and accept things might be all messed around.

He needs to nap at nursery. Settling in means getting used to everything that happens at nursery, that includes napping.

Ask them to have a go at settling him at 10ish, but realistically he'll probably be distracted and won't sleep. He'll then have an early afternoon nap.

He'll probably switch to just an afternoon nap in the next couple of months, especially at nursery.

Can you do an on-the-go nap either in the buggy or car on the way there? Just a 10-minute power nap to get him through the session, with an early lunch nap depending on his needs (you know him best).

Ideal? No. But it could work as a one off.

I would wake him at 6am, then nap at 9am for 30mins on the way to nursery in pram or car.

Agree with pp, I'd try a nap before nursery just to make sure he's not tired for the settling in.
