My little baby has caught chicken pox from her 6 year old sister after a massive outbreak of them at school & im looking for advice or tips to get through them. She is the happiest baby but today she’s been grizzly, still feeding ok too. We had an awful time with my 6 year old, she really suffered & don’t want to go through it again with a baby who doesn’t understand.
shes had a oat bath, got calamine lotion & calpol at the ready but if there’s anything else I could try.
Should I contact my health visitor? She’s due her last lot of jabs this week so won’t be able to take her for them, I’m not sure if her not being fully vaccinated will effect them but she is fully Brest fed so hoping antibodies from that will help.
thank you

No I think you've covered it all.
My mum said usually if one has it bad then the next person has it mild so hopefully the baby doesn't suffer too badly. Also because she is so young she can't take mittens off to scratch!
Calamine lotion was a godsend so it's good you've got that.
Wish her a speedy recovery

Aw, hope she's feeling better soon. My kids had chickenpox when young and at the same time as each other. DD was six months old and apart from the obvious spots, seemed fairly fine. But DS, who was two and a half years old, was really quite poorly. No advice I'm afraid but just hoping your baby sails through it - despite their older sibling's experience - like mine did.
