Are you giving him some water? I used to give warm water with some honey that helped. Puree some fruit for him too.

ForeverTired89 · 07/06/2023 07:47

Under 1s cannot have honey.

Try the P fruits - prunes, pear, peaches. Prunes worked well for my DD.

Anti clockwise massage in the shape of a flower around his belly button. Also pushing his legs up into his tummy gently, back down, cycle then.

Prunes.
Cool boiled brown sugar water - did the trick with my little boy.

I tried everything with my similar aged baby many years ago. The thing that worked like magic was prune juice with syringed into the mouth or diluted with a bit of warm water and put in a bottle (terrible for teeth I'm sure but I was desperate!)

Aldi do prune pouches which worked really well for my granddaughter.

Maloneyb · 07/06/2023 09:33

Thanks, I’ve tried prunes and pears! No luck 😭

@Safxxx babies can’t have honey.

We used to give a bit of orange juice which seemed to do the trick. Prunes unfortunately never worked for us either.

Speak to the pharmacy, you can buy a mild laxative otc called lactulose.

Kiwis - the riper the better!

Lentils

Butternut squash

Live yogurt

I would add some extra water when possible. And some tummy massages. Unfortunately, too much fibre in one go can cause constipation also, poor thing.

Like PP said about orange juice, vitamin C helps with bowel movements.

Yoghurt might help if you've had no luck with the other bits. Hope they feel better soon 🙏

Kiwi! Solved my toddlers constipation when she struggled when we started weaning.
