Hi, we just used up the last of the formula and then went straight onto cows milk. Didn't have any problems.

Does he eat yoghurt, cheese, milk in porridge? He shouldn’t get a sore tummy as he’s probably used to cow’s milk by now.

You don't have to stop the formula, it's just that cows milk shouldn't be given as a main drink a baby is 1. DD continues to have forumula untill she was around 2.5 years old.

We used to do a mix formula and cows milk then reduce formula.

Make formula as normal not making formula with cows milk.

Yeah you don't have to stop formula until you want to! It's just that cow's milk doesn't have enough nutrition to be the main drink for under 1s.

We started tapering off bottles during the day from 1, but at 20mo my DS still has a bit in the morning after wake-up and a full bottle before toothbrush and bed.

I'm in a similar boat! DD is 12 months in a few weeks. We'll probably start to transition by doing 50:50 cow to water, then 75:25 cow to water. Or possibly cow: formula, if she hates the taste. She does have fresh dairy so I'm not expecting major issues, but just in case. It's much richer I guess so can give them the runs in some cases. I might replace our early morning breastfeed (last one 😢) with formula for a month or so, and go with cow for the other drinks.
