hi ladies

i have a 2 week old baby boy, he has been fine up until a couple of days ago. he is constantly crying and straining passing lots of wind but not actually doing the business so to speak.
what can i do to get him to go to the loo or atleast make it easier for him?

thanks

is he breast or bottle fed?

tbh i think you would be better posting this in the breast/bottle feeding topic, it'll get more of a response

and congratulations, btw

is he breastfed? or bottle fed?

can gently bicycle his legs, a warm bath can help, or very gentle massage.. or holding him firmly over your shoulder to get up any trapped wind that might be causing him pain

There has been a few of these kinds of threads over the last year and if I remember correctly according to one of the poster who is a midwife, they should not be constipated at such a young age, it might be worth taking him to the GP, otherwise try and search the archives.
