Vans trainers or Clarks?

Are Vans kids trainers any good - quality wise? Husband swears by them for him but I've never bought anything other than Clarks for my 3 year old. How do they come up size wise?

They're good quality, but they're not good for your feet. They're fashion trainers. Fine for your DH, stick to Clarks/GEOX/Startrite and other proper shoe brands for your DS (if he's going to wear them loads, Vans are super cute and fine for the odd occasion).
