.......or a wee for that matter.

She is 2.6 and has been telling me for a while before she is about to do a wee/poo. I'll ask her if she wants to sit on the loo and she quite happily does but nothing happens

She'll merrily sit there for 45 minutes then panics if she really needs to go and insists on having a nappy on. The one time I tried to get her to stay on there she ended up just going on the floor.

So what do you suggest? I don't want to force her or pressure her. I've tried treats, bribes, reward chart etc but she seems afraid of the loo and the potty. How can I convince her the potty and toilet are safe and it's good to do things on them?

Don't worry, it's a common thing. DS was like that and would only poo in a nappy. His Keyworker at nursery told me that the feel like they are 'losing a piece of themselves'

Advice given to me was to let them watch you poo, look at it in the loo and flush it away. Not plesant I know but I think it made DS realise it was nothing to be scared of.

DS was out of nappies at 3 so it's a phase that passes quickly

Best of luck with it
