Baby cough... again...

11 month old has a stinking cough. Bit of a cold overall but the cough is the worst.

Hes JUST got over another one about 3 weeks ago which took ages to shift.

I know its part and parcel of babies, and particularly because he's been at nursery for 3 months now so expected it all but at a loss how to make it a bit better for him. He's trying so hard to be happy (generally he never grumbles and is such a happy little boy)

Any tips? Been giving cough syrup, calpol, calpol plug in, hot water steam in our room... any home remedies the lovely mummy's and daddy's of MN can recommend? He's been having lots of water and milk

When I have a cough or cold I have hot water with lemon and a vodka orange and I'm mostly sorted. Obviously baby is quite a way off being able to try my home remedy....!

Water and lots of cuddles is the best thing for him.

After his birthday you can make him a baby lemsip - warm water, lemon juice and honey (do not give honey to an 11 month old, obviously)

Thank you! Yeah I know that honey is an absolute no go at the moment. That's a greta tip for when he's a bit bigger though
