I just can't get along with ex, he walked out on us when I was pregnant and now he thinks he's dad of the year, he came back after 5 months of DD being born and he's so inconsistent, he wants to live a lad lifestyle and be a dad to DD however I don't think he actually cares about DD, he lives long distance, he doesn't FaceTime her, he doesn't ask about her, he doesn't ask about her progress or show any type of care or compassion towards her, I don't feel like he's her dad I find it so hard, am I being unrealistic here? He's traumatised me because at first he didn't want to be a part of DDs life so it's hard to have that trust with him and then suddenly he wanted her to stay over at his house and I will not allow that as him and his family are still basically strangers, he threatened me with court and even went through mediation but I am not wasting my money when I know it won't work out and we can do that amongst ourselves so I refused that part, I gave him his wish and let him and his mum take her out for the day, as apparently he can't look after her by himself, I feel like his mother cares more than he does and it's his mum that wants to be a part of DDs life, I honestly think he would just leave it if it wasn't for his mother and now he's threatening me with court again, in my opinion he does not have a right in my daughters life and can not say who can and can't be a part of her like her took that right away when he walked away.
