Hello! My dp and I are going on holiday soon with our 4 month old baby. We are getting a bit confused re: logistics and wondered if anyone could help!

  • do we take a car seat? And will she use the car seat to sit on the plane? Or will we have to have her on our lap?
  • do we bring a pram or can you rent one?
  • activities to do with babies?
  • tips on places to go that would be suitable? Would like some sun and something stress free

Thank you!

Car seat - you can take on plane if you have paid for a full price ticket for baby. Most people don’t, so car seat goes in hold and baby on lap

Yes you need a pram or sling. Not many places will hire. If they do, probably not 4 month old suitable.

4 month olds don’t really do any activities. So pick someone you want to go and just take baby. They can take a dip in swimming pool of water warm enough but most pools even in hot countries the water is too cold for little babies. So it’s a 5min max activity.

4 month old will just sleep in travel cot or carrycot if suitable. So most places will be suitable as you just need standard room for 2 adults rather than extra family room with more beds.
