How to help 4 mo get to sleep

Hi all,
4 month old baby is really struggling to get to sleep at night (7-8pm) - he has 4 naps a day and we do a night time routine of bath, bottle, pjs etc but it takes him nearly 2 hours each night to actually fall asleep. Does anyone have any recommendations to help him? He is getting very upset and over tired and it's very stressful for everyone! Thank you.

4 month sleep regression 😬 i'm no expert (sorry) but often I was told to keep on with your usual routine. I did that, and I felt it helped, but i'm not going to lie, it was tough. Sending strength 🙏

What’s the total daytime sleep like? Might be time to drop to three naps…. And I say that as someone who usually hates the “drop nap” advice. I either fed mine to sleep or bounced in the bouncy chair until they went off.

When is his last nap and for how long? I'd say it's probably time to drop to 3 naps.

I don’t know if bottle fed babies do this but mine always fed to sleep at that age.

Another vote for 4 month sleep regression. It's hard but it will pass

Thanks all. He has 4 naps of 30-45 mins in the day, last nap usually 4-5pm so he has been awake quite a while before we try to get ready for bed. I don't know too much about sleep regressions so will read up on it now, thank you!

The 4 month sleep regression is brutal. I remember feeding my DD from 8-10/11ish and then she'd go to sleep 🫠
