backpack carriers - anybody recommend a little life or other make?

Trying to decide on a backpack for DS 12mo. He loved being in the baby bjorn and I miss the ease of getting out and about when we want to go on walks without the pram. Looking for something fairly light-weight and not too bulky, something either DH or I could use without too much fiddly adjusting of sizes for us between uses. We'd be walking 3 hours max. Budget up to £100, less if poss. Be grateful for any recommendations. Have seen the Little life Ultralite and Cross country in Mothercare and like the look of these, but be very grateful for any recommendations. TIA.

we have the vaude jolly comfort and it is comfortable, we have also bought another one (twins) 2nd hand - not sure of make but not as good

I got one from Lidl a couple of weeks ago, not sure if they are still stocking them. Really really good and only £49 IIRC.

Ooh, we are after one of these too. How do you get the LO in and out of the Jolly Comfort? Can it be done by one person?

yes it can be do by one person and you can also get them up on your back on your own. Must be comfy as ds1 always fell asleep in it actually so did dts when we used them last.

Hi,
I bought a Little Life Ultralight at the weekend.
It;s nothing fancy but very lightweight, no metal frame in it.
It is really comfortable, easy to adjust ( I'm 5 ft 4, DH is 6ft 4) and DS2 loves it.
Cost me £54.

have you had a look at the ergo? it's a soft back carrier and is much more comfy for me than the framed backpack we had - I used it until dd was nearly 3 and as it's so light I could just stuff it in a bag if she was walking and get it out when she got tired

it was the best bit of baby kit I ever bought

the site is www.ergobabycarrier.com (I think) but you can get them from quite a few uk online places too
