Has anyone used this and had success?

I'm not sure whether to just delete it. I downloaded it to try meet other mums for playdates for my nearly 3 year old. What happens is either I wave at someone who waved at me then hear nothing. Or I start a convo and don't get an answer. Or the weirdest, ghosted after two messages.

This morning, I've had 2 more people wave at me and one of them has a 9 year old and a 7 year old .. what is the point there? My children are nearly 3 years old and 4 months old.

Should I persevere? Did you meet some good friends this way? Am I doing anything wrong?

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Amazingly I actually did meet one really good friend. We were the only mums in our area with older children, but yes, everyone else I tried to contact ghosted me or ignored me. So as a general rule - no, not very effective, but in my case turned out to have one really strong success. Just lucky I think. You do need a relatively wide catchment area though, esp if you're in a less densely populated area

I've been using it and made two friends so actually worked out a lot better than I expected but for those two I've had a lot of conversations that started and petered out or I got ghosted so I'd say it's a numbers game. Would recommend trying to send the first message as otherwise people might not bother - I have to admit I've stopped swiping or making the first move with connections as I don't have the bandwidth to have any more on the go at the moment.

I have a baby though so not sure if that makes things easier

Thanks both.

Think I'll give it a few more weeks then just delete if nothing happens. Had been chatting to another mum and was going really well, then suddenly nothing more!
