Who to go to with hearing concerns?

I have some concerns about my 4 year olds hearing, she often doesn’t seem to be taking in what I’m saying and asks me to repeat what I’ve said a lot.

is this something to go to the GP or health visitor about?

My DS was referred for a hearing test via the health visitor at around 3. Though if you have trouble getting hold of you’re (as lots do!) then I'm sure you could ask your GP.

I emailed the GP and my son was referred straight away to audiology at the the children’s hospital.

Our GP referred for a hearing test and the wait list was about 2 weeks, brill!

GP should refer you to local audiology centre. Usually they are good and will see you promptly. They will test if its a glue ear or hearing impairment due to a different reason. All is manageable, don't worry. Xx
