My baby is 11 months old he is 1 on the 17th of June I was just wondering would it be okay to start introducing cows milk yet he will still be drinking formula as normal but is he allowed to have it as a drink through out the day to get him used to the taste and stuff

Are you not already using it in cereal etc? Honestly, its only 1 month to go (not aure why pp said 2 months), if rest of babies diet is good and they are getting the calories etc from food and not relying on formula i would do it.

I will do it with my son when his last tin of formula runs out when he is close to 1

Yes he has cereal with cows milk he also has had cows milk in cooking and he seems fine I just didn't know if him drinking actual amounts would be safe but as you said it's only 1 months away matter of days so I'm thankful for your help means a lot xx

I gave my son drinks of milk when he was 11 months (in addition to breast milk). He's survived the ordeal, and my peadiatrician friend said it was fine. HV also knew and said it was fine.

Someone asked me recently, why a human would drink cows milk as...Well, we're not baby cows. Also, cows milk is designed to grow baby cows into big cows. Fast. Growth hormones galore. So maybe we shouldn't over consume the stuff.

Put me right off milk.
I'll dabble with the odd bit of cheese here and there but tbh I dunno I think I'd be reluctant to overdo dairy with little ones now that I actually think on it.

I think it’s perfectly safe at your baby’s age, it’s just not as nutritious as formula. I disagree with the previous poster, full fat dairy products are a good source of healthy fats, proteins, calcium etc for young children.
