I have just finished 5 AOI pocket nappies and they seem to be working really well.

i don't seem to be able to find any places in the UK to buy the material, the US, Australia and NZ have loads.

I thought I would give them a whirl but was put of by the high startup costs but making them works out at about £4 each but this depends really on the fabric you buy. I stuck to some fairly plain colours to start with but have just ordered some swisho stuff from NZ. they are really easy to make once you decipher some of the instructions for them and I just used a free pattern I found on the internet.

any one else had a go at them with any success?

www.nappymakers.com/ this is in the UK and NZ. They are very helpful.

I tried to make my own nappy once but errrrrr...lets just say it didn't quite work out how I wanted it too . On the other hand my BF made some very good pocket nappies for her DD and they worked very well - think she got fed up of low rise pockets so she made her own.
