Lack of routine at weekends

Long story short, both work, Mon-Fri our 14m’s routine is very strict. Dad is very pro routine and being at nursery 4 days a week definitely is a point for him.

He works weekends though so I’m in “charge” and I ALWAYS get shouted at for not sticking to this fucking bloody routine. There’s ya routine Gwen 🖕🏻

I’m the mug that has to pick up the pieces from this poor exhausted child who’s just so tired from an exciting, action packed week that he wakes up for a couple of hours, sleeps 4 hours, has a late lunch, goes to the park for an hour then is still so tired he needs more sleep. Am I really that bad of a mother because the amount of grief I get for not sticking to this chuffing routine. Just let the baby sleep surely?

I don't understand how it's the dads routine if the baby is at nursery? And the routine obviously isn't suiting the baby anyway if she's needing to sleep that much at the weekends.

Your post made me laugh out loud during a horrible day at work - thanks 😅

I mean, I'm a bit of a routine freak with my 11 month old but we have the odd day/s of course where its thrown to pieces.

If you're the one who has to deal with the fallout then it's not really any of Gwens business is it?! He's not the one looking after him.
