she won’t sleep unless she’s on my chest which i know is unsafe but i can’t survive like this. it’s either her on my chest or trying to sleep next to her in the cot is that a safer option of the two? she’s 4.5 months

Can you not co sleep in your bed?

Infusionist · 13/05/2023 01:17

How big is your cot?!?

Can’t you safely co-sleep in your bed instead?

Ilovetea42 · 13/05/2023 01:18

Hi op maybe try following thehappycosleeper on instagram. They have lots of info about safer ways to co sleep. My ds is pretty good about sleeping in his cot at night but he's ebf and I found it helpful even for setting myself and our bed up so that if I do dose off accidentally with him in bed with me then it's safer for him.

Make a floor next and co-sleep on the floor with baby?

ladydimitrescu · 13/05/2023 01:25

You can't sleep in the cot or with them on your chest. Next to me cot? Bed on the floor?

Guavafish1 · 13/05/2023 01:26

Can you fit in the cot? Is there floor space?

ladydimitrescu · 13/05/2023 01:26

Can you find a cheap bed for your toddler on marketplace?

Loria · 13/05/2023 01:32

I think you'd struggle sleeping in a cot unless you were very small. It would need to be some kind of floor based set up in baby's room away from the toddler.

Floor bed, toddler on one side of you and baby on the other. Does your toddler have their own room? What’s the long term plan for sleeping arrangements?
