Nap trapped by my toddler

My 2 and a half year old fell asleep on the way home at 5.30 (no nursery nap) I carried her in and she is still asleep on me! I've tried to wake her and she's out for the count. I guess I'm looking at at 10pm bedtime here, right?

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Awwww, gorgeous!
But yeah, your evening is probably over. Unless you get a freak day where the late nap happens and she is happy to go to bed at the usual time. But those are so rare they're practically mythical (though I had one I've and that was a golden day)

@PimpMyFridge love your name btw! It is lovely to have the cuddles but just wondering when she will wake up haha! I'll give her to half seven. I'm a complete wimp and hate waking her up mid nap as I just think how I'd feel if someone did it to me haha

Put her in bed now and pray?

Oh dear. My 19 month old needs a solid 6 hour wake window before bed so we'd be up until 1am by this point. Good luck!

Alloveragain3 · 11/05/2023 19:03

My 3 year old recently did this and slept the whole way through. Glorious!

Grapefruittea · 11/05/2023 19:05

Have managed to change number, heat some milk and get her into her bed. She's now drinking the milk with me lying next to her! I don't think I'm lucky enough that she will sleep the whole way through

My god, my 1 year old needs a 4.30/5 hour wake window before bed. I will pray for you! 🤣

StopGrowingPlease · 11/05/2023 19:47

Our 20 month old fell asleep on the way home from IKEA around the same time so we’re probably having a late night too 😂

Grapefruittea · 11/05/2023 19:58

@StopGrowingPlease she's still asleep! I'm dreading this! Let me know how you get on xxx

Are the late nappers still going? My DD slept the entire day once and still had her normal bedtime, she wasn't even ill! Was never repeated though. 🤣

Thanks 😁
I never woke mine either. 🩵🩷😴

Update! So she slept through until 5.30am. I say slept through, she woke a couple of times demanding milk as I assume she was very hungry. Small miracles can happen haha thanks for all your supportive comments

Wow, wouldn't mind a nap like that myself. 🤣
