Pram pillow

Hello! Sorry if this is a silly question (first time mum!)

So I've just watched a Nannylouenna reel and noted that she has a pillow for her babies in the pram. The babies do look snug and comfortable. I know pillows are not advised in cots etc, but should I consider one for my pram?

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

No, they aren't advised as they are a suffocation hazard.

No, it’s a hazard and when the baby’s actually asleep you’ll be wanting to sit on a bench and have a coffee not watch her like a hawk. Babies are comfortable without them.

Thank you. I definitely won't bother with that then!

I don't see how they're dangerous tbh - babies generally don't/can't change position in a pram 🤷🏻‍♀️

Because if their heads are pushed up by the pillow then their necks can get into a wrong position and then they can suffer from positional asphyxiation.

Ahh right, makes sense - thanks.

Definitely not needed or safe in a bassinet. We had the Uppababy infant insert which makes the toddler seat suitable for younger babies (used from 5-6 months) and that had a small pillow/head positioner so maybe they are using something like that? The current version for sale doesn’t have the pillow so maybe it was a bad idea to use it.
