Baby constantly ill!

Hi all. DS is 10 months and seems to be CONSTANTLY ill. He's been diagnosed with yet another chest infection and given antibiotics today. This is his second chest infection this year. He's also had COVID once and bronchiolitis three times, and I've lost count of the number of colds/viral illnesses he's had!

It seems like he is almost never well and I feel awful for him. I should say that he has an older sister at nursery and she is also ill fairly often, but not as much as DS. It's just a never ending cycle of him getting ill, starting to recover but then catching something else. He's been to the GP far more than his sister has and she's 4!

Did anyone else experience this? Is this something to be worried about or normal when they have a sibling in nursery?

I was talking to my mother today about DD being ill within 2 weeks of starting school. I'm currently pregnant with 2nd DC and she said to me just wait until baby catches it all off the oldest and how much more my sister caught in her first year when I was already in school compared to me in my first year. Hope he's feeling better soon xx
