12mo only comforter is the boob

Just wondering how normal this is and when it naturally stopped for other people. DD will only be settled at night by breastfeeding. Being close to me isn't enough, I can't attempt to cuddle her, talking/singing, patting or picking up all send her into a confused frenzy. She's never taken a dummy or a bottle, hates having anything loose near her like a comforter or a blanket. There's white noise playing, it's dark and warm enough. We cosleep because I couldn't cope with having to keep getting up to resettle her as I then couldn't get back to sleep. Looking for other similar experiences from people who have been there, thanks.

It's 100% normal

When my daughter started to understand a bit more I've been able to offer cuddles instead, sometimes she accepts that and sometimes she gets upset. My DD is recently 2. She did start to derive comfort from stroking/holding my hair when she was around maybe 16mo, before then it was just the boob.

She does now have a bear I got her a couple of months ago, but she couldn't have been less interested in soft toys when she was 12mo tbh.

It does sound completely normal so please don't worry about that.

Now they are 12 months you can do some gentle night weaning, much easier to do if DH is actively involved.
