Is anyone else at breaking point with their children?

Just put my DD4 to bed and burst into tears.

My arms are bruised and so sore from where she punches and pinches me.

She's a very loving little girl but she is akin to a boisterous baby elephant. She can be very aggressive also.

I'm a full time. Lone. Working parent. Her father only has supervised contact due to domestic abuse. She has been through a lot for her 4 years..I try to sympathise..but honestly after days like today.. I just feel like crying.

Anyone else in the same boat?

That sounds really tough. I think we all have times where we struggle and it comes at different ages for different people. It's worth having a look at children's brain development to see what she's acting like that and help see the path out. Unfortunately the only way out is getting her to improve (time and parenting strategies), or improving your ability to cope.

Why is she injuring you OP? Is it deliberate? Part of tantrums? Or ‘rough play’?

My dd is just over 3 and can hit out at me a lot I find it hard some times and it can be a lot some times it's just coz she can't get her own way or coz she's tired or frustrated
