Am I a bad parent?

I don't feel very motherly at all. I love my child more than anything in the world, she's looked after, happy and healthy. I try my best but I don't feel very motherly I feel so guilty as it just comes so naturally to some people.

I couldn't imagine my life without her now but I don't like being a mother. Does this make me a bad mom?

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

What do you mean by motherly ? Are you projecting some movie type idea on yourself? How old is your child?

Motherhood didn't come naturally to me either but there's been incidents where I acted on instinct and realised that I am motherly after all.

As in I don't enjoy being a parent and you see all these women enjoying motherhood, don't get me wrong there's some days where I absolutely love it but majority of the time I don't. I also have some issues with self image and always think my baby would be better of without me. I just feel guilty most of the time because I feel as though I'm not doing enough even tho I'm doing everything I can. She is 5 months

Do you think you might be depressed? Loads of people don’t love the baby stage, that’s okay, but some women get post natal depression and a bit support can help - thinking she’d be better off without you is possibly an indicator you might benefit from having a chat with your HV or GP.
