Baby pushing bottle out with tongue

My 3 month old DS has suddenly started pushing the bottle out with his tongue and gagging more on the bottle.

He had a feed at 4:45am and took 130ml. It’s now been almost 4 hours since and I would expect him to take another feed, but he’s only taken 20ml. He just pushed the bottle out and gags. This is something that has started happening over the last week. The amount he’s feeding each day has also decreased.

We have changed the teat and it’s not made a difference. He still has wet / dirty nappies.

@Becproc23 you might get a few more responses if you ask @MNHQ to move this over to the Infant Feeding Section Flowers

Thanks for this. Will post it there :)

@BabyB2022 That’s weird! I’m going to post this in the other thread as suggested so keep posted. Could you let me know how you get on? :)

Rub his cheek or do a little circle on his cheek with the side of your finger when you first put the bottle in. This will help him get sucking established.
