Jabs.. reassurance please

My daughter is due her jabs in a couple weeks... I'm so scared.

My cousin when small had a massive seizure with the polio jab and ended up brain damaged and severely disabled. This doesn't happen anymore does it? It's was like 30 years ago. But I'm paranoid 😭😭 they are completely safe now aren't they??

I had all my jabs as a child fine no issues.. but I'm panicking and over thinking just need brought back to reality x

Completely fine. The worst that will happen is your baby be a grouch and run a temp. Dd hated them but she was completely fine after a few hours. It’s hard not to worry when they’re tiny but I promise your baby will be fine.

Polio is a dead virus in a vaccine.

Would it help if you spoke to your doctors surgery about your worries? They could help reassure you how rare reactions are.

The polio vaccine they give now is totally different to the one you're referring to.

It is given as part of the 6-in-1 vaccine and it is not a live virus.

The one you are referring to was taken out of use as it was actually giving some children polio and terrible side effects as you describe.
