Hi guys, after a bit of friendly advice. I have a 2 year old son and quit my job when I found out I was pregnant with my 2nd (due July). I struggled a little with anxiety pre babies anyway but working full time kept me busy. Anyway I’m starting to feel quite lonely now, I don’t have any friends I see often and I’m not close with a lot of family. I’ve been to a couple of baby groups but never ‘gelled’ enough to stayed in contact with anyone. I know I’ll be very busy again when baby comes but will no doubt get to this point again☹️ I love being a mum, I’m just wishing I could share it with a friend. My husband works 12 hour days so it’s quite long days when you feel like this. Thanks in advance for any tips xx

Bless your heart.
When hubby is working long hours, i fully get that.. When we had our 2nd daughter he was working long hours & also doing night shifts it was so lonely & like you I didn't have any friends either. I did have family close by but I didn't want to live in their pockets.
You are more than welcome to message me if you wanna chat. Breaks me heart to see that your lonely x

I totally get you ... This is me right now and I'm not sure what to do. I've had DS2 8 weeks ago and I'm really feeling it. I think I'm going to join baby classes but like you said, it's hard to gel.

Today my husband randomly quoted Dave, "we're all alone in this together." It's resonating right now which is quite sad isn't it.
