Hi

I’m just interested to know how many layers you’re using. DS is 18 months and is in vest, long sleeve pj top and bottoms and a 1.5 tog sleeping bag. He’s usually in a 2.5 tog but felt it’s getting warmer.

I’m worried it’s not enough but he feels warm enough 🤷🏻‍♀️

My 2.5 year old has been in a bed since 18 months with a duvet. He's big though and it was the right time to do it last summer.

He wears a vest, pj's, socks. He often throws the duvet off but sleeps through. Our house is a new build so always warm. We usually put a jumper on him in the winter too.

Same as yours but in a 0.5 tog sleeping bad. She's hot blooded tho!

2yr old, just a sleep suit, no vest, has a duvet but I don't cover them until they are asleep.

My DS's room is saying its 20 degrees in there atm. He's 3.
He's in a tshirt and shorts pj set and single duvet. When it was that sort of temp when he was a baby I think he wore long sleeved pjs/trousers and a 1.5 sleeping bag. They do wake if they get cold but mine rarely did even though I worried!

gogohmm · 02/05/2023 23:12

Mine were in a bed with a duvet beyond them, if they get cold they let you know!

Long sleeve and leg pyjamas inside a 1 tog sleeping bag with open feet (the bag comes off last as it's a routine/comfort thing) for my 18 month old.
I think it's about 20 degrees in her room so borderline which tog bag but I'd always rather they were a little chilly than too hot.
Her big sister is in the same sort of pyjamas under a 7.5tog duvet at the moment but the 4 tog one wis ready and waiting for the swap!

My 2yr old is wearing a sleeveless vest a long sleeved sleepsuit and 2.5 tog sleeping bag and a blanket. I do have a very cold house though.

Surely it depends on the temperature of the bedroom? Our bedroom is warm (23 degrees last night) and dd (2.5) was in thin short sleeved pyjamas and a thin duvet (but kicked it off for most of the night).

Vest, PJs, blanket.

If he seems warm enough and isn't waking up crying it's fine.

Mine is in long sleeve jammies and a 2.5 tog. If it's cool, I put the sleeves on his bag too. Once it warms up, I'll change him to just a long sleeve vest, and when it's hot, I'll get rid of the bag and use a muslin blanket.
