I think it sounds like he is doing really well. He is at a similar stage to my little girl. If its just a tiny bit in pants on way to potty try some of those potty training pants from Mothercare or boots. I used these in the early days for nursery and pop them on when we go in the car. The child will still feel wet and knows when they have weed but it just hangs on to a bit more wetness than normal pants, to protect the trousers.

I also bought a potette travel potty from mothercare which folds up into a handy bag, and when you have used all their refills you can improvise with nappy bags with absorbent material in bottom (panty liner?). You will know what I mean when you see a potette.

As you have a little boy, dont be afraid to get him interested in wee-ing standing up. I remember my son was a bit of an exhibitionist at this stage, and during one holiday in Plymouth he must have visited and used every single grate! I know some people are very funny about this sort of thing, but it got our little boy trained during a holiday.

I bought a couple of piddle pads too, from ebay. These are special waterproof, washable liners for the pushchair and car seat.

Good luck!

The travel potties dont look that comfortable, but its not a lot of fun carting round a full size one in a carrier bag.

Be careful when you fold them up too, I trapped my finger

At first F was a bit funny about potties. But she has branched out now and uses the different ones at nursery, her big brothers one in the bathroom, the spare in the dining room etc. Have you been giving stickers or sweeties as rewards? I found that really helpful.

he has stickers as rewards and a star chart both of which he loves.
