First tooth how long?

Baby is 6.5 months. After what feels like teething forever and the grumpiest weekend ever with lots of anbesol and ibruprofen when I felt his bottom gums this morning there was a sharp little bit of tooth (finally!) after this point how long for the tooth to come through more and show? I’m sure the answer is how long is a piece of string 😂🙈

Once it's through the gum it shouldn't be painful anymore. It takes 2-3 days to break through completely, and around a week to finish its journey.

If she's still grumpy, there's probably more teeth on the way 😬 Mine was just constantly teething for two months; had 8 teeth by the end of it.

I just had this last week. A couple of days after that first sharp bit of tooth came through the one next to it also popped through and he was grumpy again.
Mine took around 4 days to break through and is visible now a week later... Although not a full tooth by and stretch. It's tough morphing into a shark.

Yes he’s still grumpy but no where near as bad but unless my eyes are decieving me the neighbouring tooth might also be on its way!

@ecossegirl91 @Lijay when did the full tooth appear? My 5mo has had the little sharp bit through the gum for nearly 2 weeks now but still no sign of the full tooth or the other tooth that should pair with it 🙈

So they are still growing but they are well through now, look huge 😂 I would say about a week to ten days to look like a proper tooth!

Yeah same as above about a week or two to see the whole top of the tooth but they are still only halfway to a fully grown tooth now. I thought he'd have a fully grown tooth in a week 🤣 although they stop being in pain a couple of days after the first little bit cuts through 🎉

Haha well I’ll keep my fingers crossed that it’ll pop through soon! Although not sure the boob will agree as she’s started to clamp down 😬
