Hi all,

My DS8 has tonight told me he is being bullied in school, he says this is pretty much just mean words telling him he is stupid (is isn’t struggling in school and actually excelles) or that he is wrong for liking a game they all play together.

He has been hit a few times by another child with additional needs, we have spoke about the additional needs of the other child and given him strategies to help him deal with this if it happens or prevent it in the first place.

what I’m wondering is if anyone can give me any advice on how to support him other than keeping in touch with the teacher.

He was really sad this evening and told me he didn’t care about enjoying things anymore BecUse of it.

thanks in advance

Keeping in touch with the teacher isn't enough. You need to ask for a meeting with the school and discuss what they plan to do to stop the bullying and support your son. Ask them for their anti bullying policy. If they are difficult or slow to respond, you can escalate to governing body.
