Hi , I have 2 dcs , dd is home who is sick and dd is at school at the moment. I requested school for one of his item to be collected and they replied saying that they are gonna send it home with ds who is at school. Now my question is Aibu to feel like it’s not fair for my other child to carry back her siblings items. I know it’s extra job for school as requested it but he was desperate for it. Also my son is on NDA pathway. Just need to clear my head as I feel like it’s not fair for my daughter. Thank you in advance.

Who do you expect to deliver the item?

Justputitdown · 27/04/2023 14:28

What's the item?!

I think it's unreasonable to expect the school should create extra work for themselves when your kids can bring the item back. Teachers are actually quite busy.

Unless the item is a ten tonne weight.

If your DD just has to carry something home for her sister what's the problem? Unless it's a double bass or a full set of encyclopaedias isn't it just a practical solution?

Thank you for all your reply. I’m not expecting them to deliver it to me, I was going to collect it myself. I’m thinking it might be burden on my girl to bring her sisters items back.

They were probably trying to take the option they thought was the most convenient. Rather than have you take a sick child out to collect, they thought they’d send it home with the sibling who was already going home?

A burden? Seriously? It’s called part of being a family.

Nobody can say if you don't tell us what the item is OP. Piano? School are BU. Favourite pencil sharpener? Not U.
