How do I fix the 5am wake up?

DS is 9mo and is generally a good sleeper but he wakes up 5-5.45am pretty much every day and will only go back to sleep if he gets a milk feed. How do I get him to stretch to sleeping until 6am? Anything before that time seems a bit unreasonable 😜

This is our routine (give or take 30 mins)

5.30am wake up and boob and if we're lucky he'll go back to sleep until 7-7.30am. If he doesn't go back to sleep that's him for the day and makes naps very awkward
9.30-10am nap for 1-1.5h
1.30-2pm nap for 1-1.5h
7pm bedtime (falls asleep pretty quickly)

Any suggestions?

They grow out of it.

Be grateful it's not 4.30am. DC1 did that until 3.5yo.

At 6yo they now sleep to 5.30am most days.

Eventually they will be a teen sleeping in to 11am and needing woken for school!

At that age - milk.

Early starts tend to happen for years, and can’t really be helped much aside from ensuring room is dark (5am sunrises are a problem) and teach the child to play quietly for a bit when they are able to grasp the concept.

Yep, our 5 year old now makes it to 630 most days. It was always 5am. Always. And we tried everything. I remember many many dark mornings when he was a toddler where I half slept on the sofa too tired to cry, watching puffin rock together.
It's all ok now!! 🤗
