Hi,

Before you all start I know babies be sick. But my 6 week old hasn't been sick since she was born and me and my partner noticed she was gargling so we picked her up and she projectile vomited everywhere.. the thing that worries me is that if we didn't pick her up she seemed like she was struggling... Would she have choked on her sick? Are you sure newborns can't choke on their sick because it seemed she was gargling and heaving and would have choked if we didn't pick her up

Hi OP. My little one is 12 weeks old now and it was around 6 weeks that we started noticing signs of reflux such as bringing up milk (at times this was projectile) and the gargling sound when he was laying down. Before 6 weeks, there was nothing that made me think of reflux. Is this something that you've considered or have you noticed any other signs of this at all?
And from what I know, it's very rare for babies to be able to choke on their own sick but I remember feeling worried about this too before. I now have my sons next to me cot on a tilt so that his head is higher than his body and this has helped him massively as well as lessened the anxiety I had when I heard him bringing up milk.
