How do I decide age gap?!

by the title I mean how do I decide the earliest time to TTC, I’m aware things can take longer/or be instant

DS is 15mo and although it’s a crazy stage, he can walk but can’t fully talk so lots of frustration tantrums! , I love him and I love being his mum

Watching him grow is my favourite thing and such a privilege as he is so amazing I can’t wait until we can do more and more things together like the cinema, trampoline parks go karting etc!

He is such a people person and loves nursery, we don’t have any kids in the family.

Part of my reasoning for thinking about TTC soon would be,

  1. get the hard stages out the way quite close together (for me I’ve found parenting easier now he’s a tiny bit more independent, pre 6-8 months was so hard I felt)
  2. they’ll be quite close in age so some similar interests and play together

dont know if I’m just dreaming a scenario up but I get worried and think I should leave a bigger age gap and let Ds be older like 3-5 yo

I don't think you'll have a small age gap if you try now. They'll be peers. 4-5 years not so much.

Yeah it’s not a tiny gap just smaller than I thought I’d want! X

Always assumed I’d want a 3-5 year gap x

Our gap is 2 years 2 months and while it was hard, it is perfect now they are 6 and 4.

We have 3 year gap. It was good when younger as DS was old enough to be left in a separate room without trashing it, the free hours kicked so he could continue at nursery and as I took full maternity and his summer born I only had one in nursery at once. They started properly playing together when DD was 2 and still do, although interests are diverging now DS is 10.
