Social services question?

Hello all,

Wonder if anyone could help, or have any advice or experience?

I have just found out im pregnant with my third child, when my second was younger I took her to hospital for a virus we couldn't get her temperature down at home. When there the dr noticed some marks on her arm so these were investigated, and was referred to social services.
We explained that she did this herself and always was biting herself, she was witnessed by the drs/nurses doing this and they reported as such. We never had social services involvement other than a phone call whilst we was still in the hospital to say they'd had a meeting with the drs and had no concerns at all and we were sent home. There was no follow up, no visits, no social worker assigned etc.

Now I am pregnant again I wonder if this will prompt more involvement from social services or should I just not worry about it?

If you weren’t on any plans then no

There won't be any involvement from SS. It is very common for there to be an issue raised but where there is no actual concern found. Please don't worry about it.

Nope, if the previous never went beyond a mere phone call you won’t hear from them. It won’t be anywhere near their radar!

Thanks everyone!

Yes literally just a safeguarding phone call between social services and the drs, where the drs said what marks were like, how they had seen her do it herself, and how they deemed us to be with our child (no concerns, attentive etc) no signs of any other injuries, and social services called us following this to advise no action take her home once she's well.

We never received any follow ups, calls, letters, anything like that.

I'll just try and put it out my mind and enjoy my pregnancy. Thanks again
