telling me he needs the potty/toilet just for attention - help needed

ds1 is pretty much trained and is now exercising the control he has to get attention. If we are somewhere and he wants to leave or my undivided attention, he asks for the toilet and when we go he squeezes out the smallest wee ever - this happens a couple more times before I take my chance and he asks again and strains to do a wee or fart so I'll take him again or stop what I'm doing.

Has anyone had a similar problem? I daren't ignore him all the time just in case he really does need to go

sounds normal. Has he got younger siblings that might makehim feel he isn't getting as much attention as he did when the potty training was at its peak?
It should pass, my eldest did something very similar.

ds2 is 8 wks - I really didn't want to potty train but he had other ideas and I followed HV advice not to put him off because she said if I didn't take advantage of it now it could be more difficult later on. He only does it when we are out at home he's fine, how long does it go on for? and should I do anything or just indulge him?
