What did your 1 year old wear on summer holiday?

I need to buy sone clothes for my baby to wear on holiday and not sure what to go for. She will be 11 months and it will be late twenties (Kefalonia in June) so was wondering about how to keep her protected from the sun but also cool? I’m going to get some full body UV swimsuits for the beach but was wondering about what she should wear in the stroller or the carrier where her arms and legs will be exposed? Do you go for long sleeves and leggings or just use lots of sun cream?

Lots of sunscreen but also keeping them in the shade. Eg. Covered in the buggy, and maybe a light muslin to drape over if in the carrier?

I think long legs/sleeves will be too hot.

Definitely a hat, with strings so they can't pull it off!

Make sure she doesn't overheat if you cover her buggy with anything, we just used a parasol and lots of reapplying of sun cream.

We also took with us a pop up tent type thing for on the beach so she can play in their away from the sun if you go on the beach or by a pool.

You can get a stroller fan to attach to the buggy to help keep her cool, we find them really helpful.

Before 1 we used to do light long sleeve tops and long pants and hat. Since he turned 1 year old he's mostly in shorts and t-shirts when we're away, we're vigilant with sunscreen and a sun hat, avoid midday sun (it's his naptime anyway) and find shaded areas at the beach. He's never had a hint of sunburn despite his pale Irish skin. We use a long sleeve UV suit in the pool.
