Milk for one year old

Hi

How much milk do you give your one year old? My DS will be one this week, and he's currently still on 3 6oz bottles of formula a day. Should I be cutting this down? He also gets 3 meals a day.

They only need around 300/350mls (10-12oz) after age 1. They can also have full fat cows milk at that age. Could you keep the am and pm bottles and offer a snack and drink of cows milk from a cup instead of the 3rd bottle?

Yes, I could do that. Should I be giving him formula for his am and pm bottles or cows milk?

I would see how he takes the milk in the cup first. I wouldn't go straight to all cows milk

I dropped the midday bottle around 10/11 months with my first. Didn't replace with milk in a cup or anything - she just ate a bit more at meal times. Just have to make sure you're offering plenty of water.

I'd also say you can go straight from formula to cow's milk no problem as that's what I did but no harm on doing it gradually if you want to.
