DS had bronchiolitis which didn’t clear and turned into a nasty chest infection, we were in hospital over the weekend. He has been prescribed 7 days of amoxicillin, today will be day three of taking them. He has shown signs of improvement within one day of taking them but they are giving him awful diarrhoea and stomach ache. We have been up most of the night with him due to the stomach pains and he’s not wanting to feed much at all (breastfed). I’m not too worried about dehydration yet because he’s still having wet nappies, just not as frequent.
Any tips on how I can help him and is this likely to last the entire duration of him being on the antibiotics?
