DH ignoring DS - training him to nag!

This is driving me insane and I don’t know what to do. DH when doing something (usually on phone! But not always) is so singularly focused on it that he claims he ‘doesn’t hear’ Ds age 3 calling daddy, daddy over and over. I got a bit cross today and pulled him up on it, DS called him - from the same room - five times, 6th time he banged the table , then he got told off for banging the table!!

I think this is really off. DH I am almost certain has ADD and us quite severely dyslexic. No idea if this is linked. But whatever, how can I help address this as I feel it’s not helping with DS nagging and being moany and playing up. I feel the same in those circumstances!! He Ic obviously trying to get attention!

That would drive me insane. Sometimes on the beach or elsewhere l hear a child calling Mum, Mum and the mum never answers. I feel like getting up and shouting: answer your poor child for goodness sake!! It's worse to hear it being done to your own child.
How is dp for listening and discussing this with you? He needs to leave down his phone as with ADD he will not be able to concentrate on two things at the one time. If he doesn't care that's a whole other story.
